Optional 3 Year Child Support Review

If your ex does not receive public assistance your case is eligible for optional review after 3 years by simply notifying the Child Support Enforcement Agency in writing. This will allow you to provide documentation as outlined in previous chapters to either support a decrease in your income, an increase in your exs income, or information regarding how often the child is in your care. The amount of time a child spends with you can impact your support order. For example, if a child spends two months during the summer with you and all holidays you can have the amount you pay reduced and possibly even eliminated during the months the child is in your care. Follow the suggestions for reducing your income as the time for your review approaches.
